We will transport various organ recovery staff including surgeons, coordinators, perfusionists, and support staff. In all cases, the following applies:

• Plan to arrive at the pickup location 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time.

• Park in the designated location as referenced in the Field Resource Guide.

• Text the passenger when you arrive to let them know you are there.

• Music is usually appreciated if it is appropriate and at a low volume.

Attending surgeons are entitled to a meal during recoveries. Use the vehicle’s credit card to purchase food. Food expenses are reimbursed by Donor Alliance. Record the expense receipt in the appropriate place in the ePCR and attached the ITEMIZED receipt. Donor meal purchases do not require a purchase log entry.

If the staff travels with equipment or coolers, these items must be secured in the cargo area of the vehicle. Use the corner stops to prevent items from sliding around and ensure that the cargo net covers all items and is secured.
