Each vehicle has been provided with a sunshade for the windshield. Personnel should utilize the sunshade anytime the vehicle is parked for a length of time, particularly in summer months. The shade should be placed in front of the Drive Cam to prevent overheating.

In winter months, care should be taken to make sure vehicles remain mostly free of snow. Each vehicle has a snow brush which shall be used to remove snow from the unit, do not use a broom. Windshield wipers should be stored up overnight to prevent freezing to the windshield.
