2) DEVIATION FROM PROCEDURES

We operate in a constantly changing environment, and there may be times where deviation from procedure is necessary. Team members may deviate from the procedures contained herein without fear of retribution when:

  1. Following procedure would endanger health and safety; AND

  2. Where procedure does not address current circumstances; AND

  3. When, in your good judgement, following procedure would create a negative outcome.

You MUST attempt to obtain approval from a supervisor unless the delay of doing such would increase risk or harm.

All procedure deviations MUST be reported to your chain of command and documented as an occurrence. Clinical deviations MUST be reported to the Medical Director for review.
