With a few exceptions, the Denver Metro and Colorado Springs Metro areas are laid out in a grid system with a “Zero Hundred Block” at the center of the grid.

Denver Metro:

In Denver, the Zero Hundred Block that divides North and South addresses is Ellsworth Ave. Addresses with a “North” prefix will be north of this street, whereas addresses with a “South” prefix will be South of this street.

The Zero Hundred Block that divides East and West addresses is Broadway. Addresses with a “West” prefix will be West of this street, whereas addresses with an “East” prefix will be East of this street.

Colorado Springs:

In Colorado Springs, the Zero Hundred Block that divides North and South addresses is Pikes Peak Ave. Addresses with a “North” prefix will be north of this street, whereas addresses with a “South” prefix will be South of this street.

The Zero Hundred Block that divides East and West addresses is Cascade Ave. Addresses with a “West” prefix will be West of this street, whereas addresses with an “East” prefix will be East of this street.

In Denver, addresses that end in an odd number will be on the north or west side of the street. A handy way to remember this is that Boulder is north and west of Denver, and everyone there is odd. Colorado Springs is the exact opposite of Denver.
